Composer Joel Eriksson (SWE)

Short summary:

Joel was born in 1978 and has played the piano since he was 4 years old, which has become a valuable tool in his music composing. In 1997 he signed a record deal with DOT and released 12″ singles under the name of Jol. Most famous in the underground communities was the record Going Down. Joel teamed up with his fellow Quant, and had gigs together in Germany, Austria and France. The album of Jol, Moody Aow was released by the Danish jazz label April Records. In 2001 he was chosen by Digital Illusions to make the Battlefield 1942 soundtrack and the following year he works for the same company as a sound designer and was sent to lead a Microsoft crew on a sound recording project in Seattle. 2003 Joel is back into music production again. Getting increasingly inspired by the sounds of film music and expanding his sound collections, he came across the feature film project, 7 millionaires. As opposed to ordered jobs, The Similou, entered the stage. Teaming up with fellow Erik Niklasson, the duo awoke strong reactions in the audience and In 2006, the hit single All this love was topping the charts and played on A-rotation in UK, Australia and Sweden. After living a while in Tokyo Joel moves back to Sweden and gets a family of his own. In 2009 the amount of ordered jobs and television commercials increases and among new clients are Disney mobile in Japan. In 2011, Joel is producing the brand theme for global infrastructure company ABB and composes and arranges for an event with GWO. (Gothenburg Wind Orchestra.)
